Ludger Szmania, owner and chef of his namesake restaurant, left the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel in 1990 to open his own place with his wife, Julie. The menu features Northwest cuisine with a German influence, served in a clean, contemporary setting in the midst of Magnolia village. There are some vegetarian items on the menu. Dungeness crab cakes and Pacific king salmon in a potato crust come highly recommended. There is also a private dining room for parties up to 30.
If you try out Szmania`s, you`ll find an eatery that dishes up a German fare.
