Most CA wines would not pair well with their food. German and French wines would be my first choices. Maybe if you came with less attitude, you would find less attitude from the waitstaff. The food is amazing, the service is good, but not excellent, and the wine list is perfect for the cuisine. Is follow up to post by sfskor ... They do not serve California wines, only exported wines (French & German mostly). When we asked why, they gave us the lame excuse that CA wines did not pair well with their food! We pointed out that their customers probably didn't pair them well either since there were no wine pairing suggestions on their menu. Also, many people don't go there for the food, just to have a glass of wine. Their food was not good. The beef was tough and the ahi was sliced in huge hunks. The wait staff had an attitude.
