Located in the swanky Mandarin Hotel, Silks` clientele is, by and large, of the tourist variety, which is a shame. If locals found out, it would be packed every night. The decor is what you`d imagine for a restaurant of this name: deep, soft carpeting, Asian-inspired prints and paintings, discreetly low lighting. The gracious wait staff serves East/West fusion dishes such as braised lamb over noodles, very good spring rolls with chicken and cilantro, and tempura white fish served with aioli. An evening here offers an elegant dining experience.
With a contemporary American and Pacific Rim cuisine, this is a fine dining restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost $12 to $20, and visitors are quite appropriate dressing up -- on the nicer side.

The facility is spacious. It is warm and romantic and attracts a mature and classy clientele. Table talk is no problem here - noise level is unobtrusive.
