Wonderful, whimsical Plenty on Madrona`s "restaurant row" has grown from a charming neighborhood restaurant into a destination spot. Originally an eclectic, appealing gourmet grocery with upscale eats sold at a deli counter, the owners added tables and meals and pretty soon a small, full-fledged restaurant developed. Co-owner/chef Jim Watkins changes the American-Pacific Northwestern menu every Monday. He insists that there`s always a vegetarian dish and that items never, ever repeat. Recently lobster chow mein with bamboo shoots, shiitakes, crispy noodles and jasmine rice was a hit at dinner, as was roasted cinnamon chicken with wild rice pilaf. Lunch is very casual, with diners picking up meals at the deli counter and settling in at tables.
