One of two local locations the Pacific Dining Car on West Sixth Street has been serving prime steaks and salads to the hungry throngs since 1921. The silver two-tone railroad-dining car sits confidently back from the swoop lamps that border the street and entrance. Upper middle to high class clientele sit amongst the patina wood framed windows, forest green draperies, and hardwood floors and furnishings reminiscent of the glory days of steam locomotives and big ambitioned America. Brass-lit leather chairs cradle patrons as they feast on aged prime New York steak and devour fresh seafood platters at this never to ride the rails again dinner house.
