Pacific has gone through many changes of chefs and styles of decor. Its latest incarnation is probably the best so far. The dining room is hushed and elegant, and the menu highlights a fusion of Asian, French, and Californian cuisines. Look for seared foie gras or sauteed lobster with truffles. The desserts are incredible, and the tart, cleansing sorbets, in particular the Meyer lemon, are especially impressive.
