The Clam House is a great place to go after a ball game at Candlestick Park (it`s right down the road from the stadium) or whenever you want something a little offbeat and completely unpretentious. It lives up to its name; the steamed clams are great. They come in a garlicky, parsley-filled sauce that`s just perfect for mopping up with bread. The service is the comfortable sort that comes from working in a restaurant that`s been open for over three decades. Parking is easy, and the dining room is well suited for large groups.
Old Clam House specializes in an American menu known for their seafood. Expect to pay from $20 to $30 per person.
