Located around the corner from the Little Paris of Belden Lane, Occidental Grill has built up quite a crowd of devotees. The decor is old-time San Francisco (semi-private booths, wood bar and wainscoting, Victorian light fixtures), but owner, Curt Post, doesn`t follow that theme far into the food. His menu highlights fresh California produce and seafood, and he gives the nod to an old-but-new-again fad by encouraging cigar smoking at the bar. Try the veal chop or the pan-roasted chicken breast.
