Like its parent, Original Joe`s, in the Tenderloin, this is a good place for straightforward, fifties-style Italian food served by tuxedoed waiters. The restaurant`s redesign dates from the late eighties, so it has a more modern feel, but the food is the same. The menu offers daily specials, pastas served with all the usual sauces (pesto, clams, Bolognese), and decent tirimisu.
This restaurant serves up Italian cooking dominated by pizza. Expect the average entrée to cost $8 to $12, and patrons are quite appropriate when dressed casual.
