Owner Jean Louis de Mori has created this exciting and well-attended trattoria in Midtown. Across from Cedar Sinai Hospital sits this Venetian gem in a brick building with a burgundy awning. The intimate dining room shows off gleaming terracotta floors and yellow patina walls. The centerpiece of the scene is the open kitchen, with a low counter that gives patrons sensual views of gastronomic works in progress -- not to mention the vivid smells that spiral above the eating area. Handmade mozzarella, chicken dumplings with onion confit, and rack of lamb in a mustard-peanut sauce await your arrival.
Serving a northern Italian cuisine, this is an upscale restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost from $20 to $30, and dress casual, but fashionable.
