Located across the street from that Mecca for people-watchers Cafe Flore, La Mediterranee comes in a strong second in the watching category. The interior is long and narrow, so you may want to grab one of the tables outside in order to have some elbow room and to get a good view. The food is, of course, Mediterranean: hummus, tabbouleh, aram sandwiches, hearty soups, and big Greek salads. It`s a friendly place for a quick, casual bite, and a free show.
