
In the mood for a splurge? Try master chef Roland Passot`s La Folie. Passot, whose reputation precedes him, has created a menu for La Folie that is clearly a labor of love and a study of dedication. Specialties include roasted quail with foie gras and roasted garlic, and such game dishes as roasted rabbit and tender Sonoma free-range duck. The atmosphere is romantic and sophisticated with a pastel blue ceiling and a copper hood heralding the kitchen. Vegetarians will love the "Spring Vegetable Lovers Menu": a pot pie of spring vegetable ragout, potage, a pressee of spinach, grains and couscous with roast vegetable jus, and a red fruit gazpacho or coconut sorbet for dessert.
Best known for lobster salad with spicy mango vinaigrette, this is a fine dining establishment. The restaurant serves an authentic French cuisine.
Atmosphere: The establishment has an unusual and elegant décor. The interior is enhanced by sculptures and tropical plants, and the lighting is set quite dim. This is a white tableclothe restaurant.
