Sultan Malikyar, Kabul`s owner, and his family emigrated to the United States from Afghanistan in the late 70s, bringing with them family recipes which had been passed down for generations. With Kabul, Malikyar and his family have created a friendly, simple, and colorful spot where you can enjoy traditional Afghan dishes. The marinated lamb kebob is the specialty of the house, and for vegetarians they offer ashak (fresh pasta filled with scallions, leeks, and cilantro and served with a minted yogurt garlic sauce). Their rosewater and cardamom custard offers a sweetly soothing finish.
Kabul Afghan Cuisine dishes up an Afghan and American cuisine with a menu dominated by vegetarian meals.
