Higgins is a comfortable, downtown place with three different small dining rooms that you descend into û One is street level, then down, and down again. But in a trick of physics, since it`s built on a steep hill, all three rooms are at street level with lovely picture windows. An open kitchen looks out on the dining room, the bar (replete with microbrews and single-malt scotches), and the street, so passersby can peek in and see what they`re missing. The restaurant is also committed to sustainable food practices û using natural, local, organic food from local farmers as much as possible. Try the large and satisfying burgers, or have meatless penne with clipped basil, plum tomatoes and pecorino cheese.
