You could mention the beautiful room, with a maplewood horseshoe bar, towering floral arrangements, amazing art work, expansive wine list, and cool service. But what about the food? Opened by Postrio refugees Annie and David Gingrass, Hawthorne Lane will live up to every expectation. The cooking is consistently stellar; lobster tempura, risotto in a copper pot, and seared foie gras are just a few of the favorites. Desserts are known throughout the country for their playfully imaginative presentation and for their delectable flavors.
Offering their guests eclectic Californian, Mediterranean and Asian cuisines, this is an upscale establishment. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $20 to $30, and dress up -- on the nicer side.
