With seating by reservation only, Genoa is known for its 7 course prix-fixe Northern Italian feasts that are served over a luxurious 2 1/2 hour period. (A somewhat more modest 4 course meal is available Monday through Thursday). The smell of fresh cut lilies, dim lighting, dark walls and carpeting, fine linen, tapestries and copper pots lining the walls, and a sitting room where guest can wait to be seated or finish a fine meal with an after-dinner liqueur all blend to create an intimate atmosphere. The menu, which changes every 2-3 weeks, reflects the cooking of different regions.
With culinary focus on a traditional Italian cuisine, this is a fine dining restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost over $60, and guests for the most part go dressed casual, but fashionable.
