Quietly elegant, Fullers` collection of Northwest glass and contemporary art lulls diners into an almost reverential state. Any stuffiness or sleepiness ends, however, with the arrival of the first course. Chef Monique Barbeau`s boldness in the kitchen seems to know no end. There`s a tasting menu which offers small portions of many of Fullers` signature items. Starters might include tequila-cured gravlax in a chickpea cone, with yogurt and chopped cucumber and a sprinkle of caviar, or grilled sweet cor n chowder. Signature entrees include the Moroccan spiced quail and grilled ahi with a tangy reduction of beet and cranberry juices, along with kim chee and pickled vegetables. Be sure to take a break for a custom sorbet.
Serving northwestern Continental and French food, this is a fine dining restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $20 to $30, and you`ll be appropriate if dressed casual, but fashionable.
