Always rated by San Francisco food lovers as one of the top restaurants in the city, Fringale is a delight. The Basque-inspired cuisine is excellent and the prices unbelievably reasonable. Chef Gerald Hirigoyen has a stand-out macaroni with mushrooms, wonderful mussels, and perfectly cooked steak. The wine list is small but well matched to the menu.
