Another establishment brought to you by the Real Restaurants crew (Bix, Roti, Mustards Grill), Fog City Diner is a masterpiece of meticulously orchestrated trend-setting. The long, oval bar looks too planned to be casual, but, somehow, it is casual and just about anyone would feel comfortable here. The same is true of the gourmet menu, carefully made accessible with the addition of homey touches like mashed potatoes. Menu favorite include roasted quail and pork chops with green tomato chutney. For appetizers, don`t miss the crab cakes with sherry-cayenne mayonnaise.
Serving new American dishes, this is a restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $12 to $20, and dress casual.
Atmosphere: The place has a 1950`s style décor. The lighting is set quite dim. The décor is accented with classic brass. With seating for 100 people, the restaurant is cozy and comfortable and relaxed. Table talk requires you to speak up a bit here.
Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner. Click for a sample menu.A full selection of alcoholic beverages are served. You`ll find that there a seated bar inside.
Details to Note: Reservations are suggested. Carryout is available. Entrances and walkways are wheelchair friendly. The place stays open late.
Ways to Pay: Cash, MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club and Discover
