El Colmao now occupies this abandoned Fur`s Cafeteria. The migration has produced a Cuban Cafeteria that crowds up for lunch and dinner daily. The dTcor is straight forward cafeteria with red carpet and a mirrored wall as well as an assortment of booths. Cuban fare is king and is the reason to visit this possibly the best Cuban in LA. Menu highlights include turkey roast, beef tip, Jerez chicken with Sherry sauce, and roast pork with black beans.
Stop in El Colmao for a place that cooks up Mexican cooking. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $8 to $12, and go dressed casual.
