This brown brick Mexican grandfather opened in 1927 and has been offering it`s famous special recipe marguerites and old Mexico cuisine to adoring Los Angelenos ever since. Lots of pictures and festive colors set off the square wood table and chair filled dining room. Artifacts of the old country also hang about the cavernous setting serenaded by piped-in fiesta music. Vivacious waiters and waitresses serve up sizzling fajitas, enticing enchiladas, and the best burritos around.
Visiting El Cholo, you`ll find a place that serves Mexican and American where people frequently get a tex-mex style. Expect the average entrée to cost under $8.
