A favorite of Fred Astaire and John Belushi, Dan Tana`s has been serving up Italian on Santa Monica Boulevard since 1964. Admittedly a LA landmark its patrons are among the Hollywood elite and tend to visit for the huge steaks and straight up martinis. Dark and New Yorkish inside it is not changed its decor since it opened. The red checked cloths and lounge feel contribute to the exclusive feel. Reservations are recommended, as this is a pop spot.
