Despite its location in an uninviting mall, Crustacean, a verging-on dressy Euro-Asian restaurant, is an oasis from the seedier part of Polk Street. Crustacean`s fresh and lively approach to seafood is showcased by the papaya salad with calamari and the salmon carpaccio appetizers. For entrees, both the Drunken Crab (fresh Dungeness in a broth of white wine, cracked black pepper and scallions) and the roast crab are exceptional.
Crustacean is a place that offers Asian and Californian dishes with a menu based largely on seafood. Expect to pay $12 to $20 per person.
