Since 1938 it has sat on Melrose, making this the oldest northern Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. The romantic interior was the location for the wrap party for "Gone with the Wind," a pinnacle point in its long tradition of serving Hollywood stars and fans alike. The heritage of Chianti continues with a menu including Costicine di maiale, grigliata di carni, and scaloppine al funghi.
Offering a traditional Italian menu, this is an upscale restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $20 to $30, and you`ll be appropriate if dressed casual, but fashionable.
Atmosphere: The facility has an authentic and traditional décor. The interior is enhanced by displayed artwork, and the lighting is fairly dark. Tables are covered with linen tableclothes. The restaurant is comfortable and relaxed and patroned by all kinds of people.
