While Chez Sovan may be open for lunch only, it`s a good place to know about. The chef and owner, Sovan Bounthui serves up authentic Cambodian cuisine in a space that`s unpretentious and basically unadorned. Highly recommended is the stir-fried rice noodles in a tamarind sauce, with a strong lacing of paprika and lots of vegetables and bean sprouts. Ask the waiter for recommendations: the specials change often, and the service is knowledgeable and friendly.
