Caswell serves mostly Italian food with a few notable exceptions, such as the Cajun gumbo and Gwen`s potato platter, which combines sauteed red potatoes with onions, peppers, and garlic. Everything is served a la carte and nothing costs more than $8, so it`s easy to assemble an affordable meal. The low prices and central eastside location draw a young clientele, but everyone is made to feel comfortable. Just don`t be surprised by the high proportion of the the pierced and tattooed, especially on Friday and Saturday night.
