
Located in what began as an old carriage garage and became a car dealership in the 1940`s. The garage`s original concrete floor and driving ramp adds to the 614`s eclectic elegance, this is an upscale bistro. The restaurant serves American meals. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $12 to $20, and dress casual, but fashionable.
Atmosphere: You`ll be able to take in the people watching view from many seats at this establishment. Architectually, the restaurant is in an unusual structure. The establishment has a funky and rustic décor. The interior is accented by earth tones, enhanced by architectural artifacts, and the lighting is soft. Vaulted ceilings add depth with an architectural impact.
The restaurant is spacious with high ceilings with seating for 80-100 people. It is comfortable and energetic and patroned by all kinds of people. Table talk is no problem - noise level here is moderate.

Of Interest: The interior created entirely from reused, recycled and found materials, was built by Owner Carol Nicosia-Whelan and her daughter DJ, a San Francisco artist.
About the Chef: Executive Chef, Mark Liberman brings a fervent curiousity and a passion for creativity to his work. Having ``carte blanche`` to push the culinary envelope, Liberman draws his inspiration from years of experience in the local fine dining arena.
The Management: Owners Charls Whelan and Carol Nicosia-Whelan opened the Savoy 614 in the fall of 1998 with the idea of infusing the local historical district with a bit of an urban edge. The 614 features artisan breads and desserts baked by Carol and her talented staff at honey pie productions, her newly opened retail bakery just one block down Sutter Street from the 614. The Whelan`s have also co-owned the Catering Connection for seven years, which originally serviced Folsom`s corporate sector, but has currently expanded into high end social catering exclusively.
