fifilarue - After reading some of the negative reviews, my husband and I were a little apprehensive to take a good friend here for his Birthday, but being the daring funsters that we are, we threw all caution to the wind and made the plunge. From the moment we walked in the staff could not have been nicer. There was a very friendly host, Fidel, there to greet us as well as a chipper bartender who quickly satisfied our quench as we waited for our guest to arrive. Our booth was located in the piano bar and our waitress Diane could not have been more attentive and funny. Let me tell you the best part…the food! Starve yourself before you come here – you must be hungry because the portions are huge. As tempted as you might be the eat all of the freshly baked bread and corn muffins keep in mind that most of the dinners come with a choice of soup or salad (with their famous green goddess dressing), choice of potato and veggies. The birthday boy and myself choose the prime rib for dinner. I have never seen as big of cuts and these were…delicious! The host Fidel even came and made me creamed horseradish to go with my prime rib. My husband’s 2 lobster tails were cooked to perfection. Dinner was topped off with a light a fluffy chocolate mouse. For a great Old School Steakhouse, The Buggy Whip is the perfect place.
