Aqua is cool, professional, and one of the best restaurants in San Francisco. To say that chef Mich`l Mina has a way with fish is like saying Italians have a way with shoes: every dish is cooked with exquisite care, every detail is well-considered, and everything is well-executed. The menu changes with the seasons, but they almost always have a sea bass which is utterly peerless. Exquisite flower arrangements, beautiful crystal, recessed lighting, and cool tones complete the experience.
Serving an eclectic French and Californian cuisine where patrons tend to favor seafood, this is a fine dining restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost over $30, and there`s a prix-fixe menu. Plan to dress formal.
