With its high-backed wooden booths and lovely fireplace, A La Carte is a perfect little gem. It was originally bought by Chef Carrie Fehr to be a tea room, and afternoon tea (by reservation only) is one of the highlights. It`s less well known for dinner, but, in fact, the evening menu is a very pleasant surprise. Try corn soup as an appetizer, and move on to the popular Yucatan-spiced cod with pineapple. Service is sweet and friendly.
