Located in a former auto glass repair shop, Green Dolphin Street is now one of Chicago`s most popular venues for dinner and jazz. After enjoying an excellent meal created by Chef Marshall Blair (formerly of Charlie Trotter`s), diners are invited to move into the adjacent jazz club to hear music by Chicago`s local talent -- free of charge. Dishes are creative and border on extravagant. The menu recently featured duck breast salad with blood-orange vinaigrette, chipotle-rubbed quail served with a Thai spring roll, and grilled venison with green-peppercorn-honey sauce.
If you try out Green Dolphin Street, you`ll find an upscale restaurant that offers guests a new American cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost between $20 and $30, and go dressed casual, but fashionable.
Atmosphere: is accented by wood tones, enhanced by displayed artwork, and the lighting is bright. The restaurant is spacious with seating for 140 people. It is formal and lively and attracts a mature clientele.
