Rick Bayless, chef and co-owner with his wife Deanne, is one of the culinary stars of Chicago. His Frontera Grill offers `authentic` Mexican food served with great flare and love. Though the menu changes constantly, you can expect to find some form of tamale, and perhaps a selection of tacos such as tacos al carbon, a choice of thinly sliced wood grilled meats served with homemade tortillas, two different salsas, pepper rajas, charcoaled green onions, frijoles charros, and guacamole. It`s great in the summer for sidewalk dining and people watching, and its bright warm colors and folk art decor make it a warm winter escape as well.
This restaurant serves a Mexican cuisine. Expect to pay between $20 and $30 per person.
Atmosphere: is enhanced by displayed artwork.
Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner. There`s a Sunday brunch.
Ways to Pay: Cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club and Discover
