Emperor`s Choice has one of Chinatown`s most interesting menus, though part of its appeal may simply be that it is made easy for non-Chinese speakers to understand and is not too large to overwhelm. The waitstaff here also speaks English well, knows a lot about the food, and takes the time to communicate it. Considering that most of the city`s top restaurants close their kitchens by 10:30 p.m. and this kitchen is open until 12:30 Mondays-Saturdays, and 11:30 on Sundays, this is one of the few truly fine dining experiences still available after theater or a concert.
Emperor`s Choice serves guests a Cantonese cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost between $8 and $12, and guests for the most part dress casual.
