This is a 50`s diner, Southern style. Only open for breakfast and lunch, the Silver Skillet specializes in the southern comfort breakfast. You may find it heavy on the pork, but that`s how it is down here, and we`re used to cutting the grease with gobs of grits. Besides, this place has thousands of Waffle Houses to compete with, and so it does what it does just a little bit better. They even offer big glasses of buttermilk for accompaniment, in case you haven`t had quite enough butterfat.
