The Palm is synonymous with politicians and lobbyists. It`s where all the influential "informal" meetings take place and the deals are done. The Clinton`s have also been known to grab a famous "Palm" steak here, too. Located just between the Dupont, the lawyer district, and Georgetown, it cross-sects all the powerful parts of town, so the crowd is always interesting. The food is expensive, but creative, delicious and well presented.
Offering their guests an American fare where people frequently get seafood and steaks, this is a fine dining restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost over $20, and you should in general dress casual.
Atmosphere: The restaurant has a New York style feel. The interior is accented by dark woods. With seating for 180 people, the facility is comfortable and energetic and known to attract the occasional celebrity. Table talk is no problem - noise level here is moderate.
Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner.
