This place is part of a Houston-based chain; the corporation has filed for bankruptcy protection, but the Atlanta unit carries on, and maybe even supports the whole company. Mama Ninfa`s is very popular here, not only for its hard-to-find old Mexican specialties (like Caldo Xochitl or terrific chile verde), but also for its great downtown location and easy, interesting atmosphere. It`s a welcome alternative to Mick`s next door for the 9 to 5 crowd.
