Deleece is located just past the end of the Southport restaurant strip, and those who venture that far will be amply rewarded by Chef Carol Wallack`s cuisine. Though its location renders it a weekend destination spot for most people, during the week it is frequented by lucky neighborhood regulars who appreciate the excellent, reasonably priced fare. The eclectic, cross-cultural menu changes often and has featured dishes such as quesadillas made with fontina cheese; pan-fried angel hair pasta with marinated skirt steak, broccoli, ginger, and black-bean sauce; and pan-roasted halibut with porcini-orange sauce served over a lemon-grass risotto cake.
Visit Deleece and you`ll get a place that focuses on an eclectic American cuisine an emphasis on pasta. Expect the average entrée to cost $8 to $12, and dress casual.
