A tiny outpost of elusive Afghani culture is among the eclectic mix of restaurants on lower Chestnut Street. But step inside and you are totally surrounded by Afghani artifacts in this family-owned eatery: long-spout coffee pots, hand-chased brass trays, multicolored and patterned rugs, and embroidered tapestries. The food, too, is evocative of India and the Middle East, a cross-section of flavors and presentations.
This place focuses on an Afghan cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $8 to $12.
