Everything about Georgia Brown`s is friendly, Southern hospitality. The staff of this down-home yet very up-scale restaurant will put you into an easy going mood immediately, even in the high pressure location of McPherson Square where lobbiests, lawyers, and even the President himself are known to make their deals at one of two famous power-seats by the windows of Georgia Brown`s. The black and white tiled kitchen is slightly open so you can see the delicious native dishes of South Carolina being prepared. The tables are a little crowded, but the food is incredible. The Southern stew with roasted mushrooms is a favorite of many. Offering their guests southern American and soul food meals, this is an upscale facility. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $12 to $20, and you`ll be fine if dressed business casual.

Atmosphere: Architectually, the restaurant is in an unusual structure. The restaurant has a contemporary and fashionable décor. The interior is accented by warm tones, enhanced by flowers at the tables, and the lighting is soft. Structurally, the restaurant utilizes glass and windows.

The restaurant is spacious with seating for 120 people. It is grand and cheerful. Table talk is no problem - noise level here is moderate. Also, you`ll notice that there is an open kitchen.

More Reasons to Go: The live jazz is a great part of your dining experience at this restaurant on Sunday Brunch. Georgia Browns is appropriate (if not ideal) for impressing clients, birthdays, anniversaries, other romantic evenings, groups and private parties; also, the establishment is often frequented prior the theatre. When weather permits, enjoy seating outside on the patio.

Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner. There`s a Sunday brunch for $21.95 per person.A full selection of alcoholic beverages are served, and you`ll find that there is an excellent wine list. In addition, the restaurant has a seated bar inside.
