Crab is what DiNardo`s built its reputation on - - and most people go there to roll up their sleeves and dig into a mountain of the "jumbos" that are the favorite of all the regulars. The prices have escalated over the years to the point where this is no longer a "bargain" pit stop to refuel one`s hankering for the critters that are routinely flown in from Louisiana (rather than shipped from the much closer Chesapeake Bay) because of their size and meatiness. DiNardo`s special sauce (that no one has yet been able to replicate) has an appeal for the "point/counterpoint" dimension it lends to the sweet, elusive crab chunks. Other fish and seafood dishes are also served, but it is the spicy crabs and crisp, highly seasoned french fried potatoes that are the main attractions.
This eatery specializes in an American cuisine an emphasis on crab and seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $12 to $20, and go dressed casual.
