The 1848 House is a beautifully restored and maintained ante-bellum house in which a fairly elegant restaurant has been set. As you stroll through the well-appointed rooms, you can still hear the soft Southern sibilance of Scarlett and her sisters. It is intriguing to see the furnishings and the general detail of the decor. The menu offers New Southern cuisine that has a good reputation around and about the metro area.

Atmosphere: 1848 House is on the National Registry of Historic Places as an authentic Plantation home -- a site on which a Civil War battle took place. You`ll be able to take in the garden view from many seats here.
The overall structure of this restaurant is reminiscent of early american architecture. The restaurant has an authentic and historic early 1800`s style décor with a court room theme. The interior is accented by warm tones, enhanced by antiques and lush greenery throughout, and the lighting is via chandelier.
