Animated groups of friends gather around picnic tables and overturned barrels, sharing pitchers of sangria and small plates of tapas. Perpetually jammed because of its fine food, dark, fun atmosphere and flamenco music, Xunta achieves the authenticity of a haunt you might find in Spain. Bottles of Spanish wine are low-priced, and there are 40 tapas to choose from: steaming croquettes, empanadas, stuffed olives, mushroom flambe in brandy sauce, and scallops with saffron and asparagus.
If you go to Xunta, you`ll find a bar that serves Spanish an emphasis on seafood. Expect the average entrée to cost under $8.
