JMS - Unfortunately for me and my wife (on our anniversary) USC did NOT live up to the hype. Service was average with my entree coming out cold. The waiter's reaction was a disinterested `would you like me to heat it up for you`? A press pot of coffee was ordered yet our waiter poured tea. The `little` things were simply not done nearly as well as sister restaurant Gramercy Tavern does them. The saving grace was that the wine was excellent and the somelier was right on the money with his assistance.
