You`re not in Chinatown anymore, not by a long shot, in this lush setting with stained-glass windows, beautiful aquariums, a reflective ceiling, and metal renditions of Chinese scenes. The cost is far from Chinatown, as well, but celestial food comes at a price. Top choices include shark`s fin soup, orange beef Szechuan-style, roasted duck Peking-style, crispy boneless sea bass, and spicy tenderloin of veal. Assorted fresh fruits and a lotus pastry is the way to finish. Service is supreme, too.
Preparing a Mandarin and Chinese fare its guests, this is a fine dining facility. Expect the average entrée to cost over $40, and most people dress up -- on the nicer side.
Atmosphere: The restaurant has a traditional wood finished décor. The interior is accented by mahogany woods, enhanced by antiques, and the lighting is set quite dim. The restaurant is spacious with seating for 120 people. It has a comfortable atmosphere and attracts a middle aged clientele.
More Reasons to Go: Tse Yang is appropriate (if not ideal) for entertaining clients, anniversaries and other romantic evenings.
