A charming and almost too cozy little English restaurant with only ten tables, Tea & Sympathy offers a tiny piece of England in the West Village. The house specialty is, of course, tea, and numerous varieties are offered with which you can enjoy tasty scones or finger sandwiches. During lunch and dinner hours traditional dishes such as shepherd`s pie and bangers and mash are offered, but make a note to try one of their excellent salads. If you plan to take afternoon tea on the weekend be prepared for a 15 to 20 minute wait -- outside.
If you go to Tea And Sympathy, you`ll find a place that serves up British meals. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $12 to $20, and dress casual.
Atmosphere: is accented by wood tones.
Eating & Drinking: Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Details to Note: Reservations are not accepted. Carryout is available.
Ways to Pay: Cash Only
