If you`re tall you might have to duck your head to enter this cozy country cottage. The white paneled room is decorated with the kind of paintings, china and plaid curtains you`d find in a grandmother`s house. Vivek Bandhu and Lauri Gibson have created a refined yet homey menu, offering a watercress salad with apples, walnuts and goat cheese, tamarind-lacquered striped bass with crispy shiitake potato cakes, and orange-glazed breast of duck with wild rice. There are great homemade desserts and a sophisticated wine list. (Prix-fixe menu: $19.95.)
Table Dhote offers a French and American cuisine. Expect the average entrée to cost from $20 to $30, and dress casual.
