A classy Japanese restaurant with artful paintings, waitresses wearing full-length, blue sashed robes, and light woodwork structures defining the room. On the mezzanine level are five decorated Tatami rooms reserved for business meetings or private parties, and lone diners are welcome at the sushi bar. There are combination dinners which match sushi with tempura, teriyaki or sashimi, and an extensive list of sushi and sashimi sold by the piece. Unusual sashimi choices include orange clam, Spanish mackerel, striped bass, herring roe, and cockle. In the unimpeachable sushi department is crab miso, ume Japanese yam, flying fish roe, and yellowtail with scallion.
