Famous for 30 years of lobster and steaks, Sparks is also notorious as the place where a mobster was gunned down in front of its doors. There are old orange-lit chandeliers and light fixtures, a multitude of landscape paintings, dark paneling, and serious waiters standing at attention. The veal chop, lamb chop, and 16-18 ounce steaks are legendary, and if you don`t want to do meat, there`s filet of tuna, fresh rainbow trout, and halibut. Potatoes and vegetables are a la carte. The wine list is eye-popping, and in fact, one of the largest in the nation.
This steakhouse focuses on an American cuisine where patrons tend to favor steaks.
