For anyone tired of pizza, "Chinese," fast food, and hot dogs, the Berry Brothers offer a solution: Soul Fixins`. Triggered by wonderful aromas, patrons select barbequed chicken, ribs, meat loaf, or fried whiting -- with side dishes of collard greens, candied yams, and macaroni and cheese. There are only a clutch of tables in the little storefront, and moving to them with a piled-high cafeteria tray can be temporarily frustrating, however, an abstract mural, Cajun-red tile walls, and soulful background music make Soul Fixins` a cozy place. If this is "fast food," it is better than average.
If you go to Soul Fixins, you`ll find a restaurant that dishes up a soul food menu. Expect the average entrée to cost under $8.
