Wear the face of tragedy or of comedy, it`s hard to take yourself too seriously in this room where grinning caricatures of the show-business famous line the walls. When cushioned by cheerful, ruby-red banquettes and doted upon by an affable service staff, you will know why this room has been the scene of so many opening nights and Tony announcements. With shrimp Sardi, baked Alaska, prime rib of beef, salads, pastas and a table side preparation of steak tartare, enjoy Sardi`s for the taste of Broadway tradition and its buoyant cheer. Executive Chef Patrick Alain Pinon creates new specials, served daily, such as blackened catfish filet, Maryland crabcakes, and marinated Mahi Mahi.
Sardi`s dishes up Continental and American. Expect the average entrée to cost for the most part in the range of $12 to $20.
